Throwback to Acoulyte’s Design Evolution!

A few days ago, Elin and Olof revisited models from the prototyping stage of the Acoulyte. I got my chance to hear the firsthand story of a device that started as a stand/clamp system, and how it evolved to be in its sleek form today.

Looking at the models, the iterative design process is clearly felt, and so is the difference a fresh coat of paint can do in how the product is perceived. I especially like seeing how we went from a vertical aspect ratio to a more elongated horizontal one. The choice to fasten with screws instead of using a spring system has also proven itself to be the right one since the Acoulyte launched in 2017

Last week marked the seventh Acoulyte we have sold in these two years. My colleague Joao will be in Paris next week, making the installation at Professor Boujday’s lab at Sorbonne University.

For my part, I look forward to learning more details about Insplorion’s history in the upcoming months.
