The European validation of Insplorion’s main patent completed

The patent application was filed in May 2009 and has been approved in Japan, China, USA and Europe. For a European patent to be valid in the countries where it has been approved, it must be validated in each and every country. Validation, of the patent with publication number EP2435817, has been carried out in the countries considered to be most important from a strategic and commercial perspective. The patent protection in these countries is valid until 25 May 2030.

The patent covers the possibility to coat the sensor surface with different materials to achieve tailor-made sensitivity and high stability in harsh environments. It, therefore, covers many of the technology's strengths and both Insplorion’s business areas Instruments and Sensor Systems.
