Professor Yibin Bu at Southern University of Science and Technology, School of Environmental Science & Engineering has previously used the X1 system while acquiring her Ph.D. thesis in the Prof. Niemantsverdriet group in Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The X1 system is partly customized to Prof. Bu’s specific needs resulting in an order value of about 1 MSEK. This is the second sales by Insplorion’s Chinese distributor Honoprof.

"We are very glad to have SUST as an X1 customer and look forward to the results that will come out of the group. We have been working with customers interested in the Insplorion technology and now start to see the results of this work. We are also confident that more and more researchers will benefit from the high performance and sensitivity of X1 instrument in China, besides catalytic reactions",   comments Michael Guo, at Honoprof.

Prof. Bu and her group plan to use the X1 system for research within catalytic processes, similar to her work in Eindhoven. Specifically the catalytic reactions using metal oxides to for instance react carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide relevant to cleaner combustion engine exhausts. Upon returning to China she is now setting up her own group where the Insplorion X1 system will be one of her main research tools.

"It is a great confirmation that our NPS technology works well as a research instrument when users get their own system after working with it in other scientific groups. The Eindhoven installation was Insplorions first customer in 2011 and it is very exiting that we now see a second customer directly related to this group", comments Patrik Dahlqvist, CEO at Insplorion.
