Insplorion's battery sensor patent "Battery with sensor" will be granted by the United States Patent Office, USPTO.

Insplorion has now received “Notice of allowance” from the USPTO. The battery sensor patent will therefore be granted after paying the relevant fees. The patent application US 15/302,118 was filed in April 2014 and entered the national phase in October 2016.

The patent provides protection in until March 19, 2035*.  The corresponding patent application has previously been granted by the European Patent Office EPO (validated in a number of countries within the European patent convention), China as well as Japan, and is under prosecution in South Korea.

"Strengthening our IP protection is of strategic importance. To now have protection for the US market is encouraging. We anticipate that it will have positive impact on the ongoing dialogues we conduct with potential strategic partners for the battery sensor, such as the global sensor manufacturer whom we currently are conducting a feasibility study for", says Patrik Dahlqvist, CEO of Insplorion.
